Narrative Writing Celebration IMPORTANT INFORMATION Field Trips: We will be taking five field trips this year, GRPS Planetarium, Forest Hills Performing Arts Center, Recycling Center, Van Andel Institute, and the Celebration Cinema IMAX. If you would like to volunteer to drive for any of the field trips, please complete this sign-up.  All parents will have the opportunity to join us on May 17th for the Celebration Cinema field trip. I will send out a separate form for this field trip in the spring. Our first field trip will be to the Grand Rapids Public Museum’s Planetarium on the morning of November 7. Please be sure that you’ve filled out a volunteer consent form if you plan on driving for this field trip.   We had a wonderful surprise today from the East Grand Rapids Schools Foundation! I was granted a check for STEAM in Literacy. I can not wait to start STEAM Fridays by introducing the students to 3Doodle Pens and Keva Blocks to explore engineering within Literacy.  IMPORTANT NOTES Parent Teacher Conferences : It was so good to see so many of you last night.   Hearts of Gold Friday I MPORTANT NOTES Kids Have Rights: KHR teaches that all kids have body safety rights that they are entitled to no matter what. Knowledge and understanding of these rights, empowers kids to help keep themselves safe.  A KHR Educator will be visiting our classroom on Monday, October 9.
